PROJECT Engineer (US)
Job type: Full-time

QBuild Corporation is a progressive software systems developer currently experiencing rapid growth. We specialize in Engineering CAD to ERP integrations for manufacturing companies. Our business partners include the biggest names in Engineering and Manufacturing, such as SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk, Siemens, Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, etc.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a project engineer who can scope out customer technical requirements, communicate with software engineers, present solutions and manage implementation projects. You’ll be joining our team of young professionals – QBuild project engineers, account managers, and developers.
You’ll be scheduling project milestones and working closely with customers from beginning-to-end of our software implementation projects. You will also stay in touch with them post-installation and be their go-to contact when they have questions, challenges, or praise! You will be working with many customers at various project stages, so time management and organization skills will be critical.
Our goal is to achieve the absolute highest customer satisfaction. Part of your role will be evaluating their current engineering workflow, challenges and requirements so that you can recommend our solutions and best practices.
ROLE:
- Work as an integral part of the team to ensure a successful handoff between sales and implementation
- Act as the primary consultant and project manager for customers – selling and delivering consulting services
- Work with software engineers and customers to determine the best fit solution, or design something new!
- Liaise with software and business partners as the subject matter expert on Engineering processes to serve common customers
- Understand consumer requirements and trends to help drive product development direction
- Prepare and present quotations of implementation services and scope changes
- Participate in trade shows, partner events, and meet customers on-site at their facilities (primarily in the US)
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Computer), or equivalent experience
- Have a passion for understanding customer’s businesses and matching solutions to their requirements
- Love being a part of a small team that accomplishes big things!

We are looking for a sales engineer who can identify sales opportunities, scope out customer technical requirements, and present solutions and quotes. You’ll be joining our team of young professionals – QBuild sales engineers, project engineers, account managers, and developers.
You will be the main point of contact for customers who are interested in our software. The role is technical, which means evaluating their current engineering workflow and challenges, then showing how we solve those problems. You will also review requirements with our software engineers to determine estimated costs, draft up specifications and quotations, or come up with creative new solutions!
You should also love working with people, whether they are your colleagues, our customers, or our partners. You shouldn’t hesitate to take control of meetings, drive the purchasing process forward, and negotiate with executives. Through our partners, you will drive revenue by enabling and incentivizing them to sell on our behalf.
QBuild is aiming to grow aggressively with expansion in existing and new markets, rolling out new products, and onboarding new partners. You would play a critical role in our exponential growth!
ROLE:
- Evaluate customer requirements and determine present and future sales opportunities
- Perform discovery calls and demos with customers
- Enable our partners to position our software to their customers
- Work with developers and customers to determine the best-fit solution or design something new!
- Understand consumer requirements and trends to help drive product development direction
- Prepare quotations, present them to customers, and negotiate as needed
- Effectively communicate with customers to drive the decision-making process
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project handoffs
- Represent QBuild at trade shows, partner events, and user groups (primarily US-based travel)
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Computer), or equivalent experience
- Technical aptitude for working for a software company in the manufacturing industry
- Have a passion for understanding customers’ businesses and matching solutions to their needs
- Love being a part of a small team that accomplishes big things!
- Determined to get even the little details right to build trust with our customers
- Blend a strong work ethic with a good-natured personality and a sense of humour
